How to Change CSC for Samsung Galaxy Devices on Android KitKat
If you tried to change CSC by using cscselector app or terminal, you will not see any changes and the CSC will stuck in the default code.
I will show you how to change it easily
Requirements :
- Rooted galaxy S4 or any galaxy device.
- Installed root file explorer ES File Explorer or Root Explorer.
- Installed CSCSelector or Terminal app
Instructions :
- Open ES File Explorer or Root Explorer and mount RW.
- Navigate to : System / csc / BTU / system / csc /
- Copy all the files on csc folder and go back to paste it in : System / csc /
- Accept Overwriting or replacing files.
- Use CSC selector app or Terminal method to change CSC to BTU.
Notes :
- WARNING : Changing CSC will delete all data on your device.
- This method will work only on ROOTED devices
- This will only work if your current firmware support Multi-CSC
- It might display "PreconfigUI does not support SingleCSC" if your current firmware doesnt support Multi-CSC.
- This method should work for many galaxy devices which running Android jelly bean and KitKat.

Before few days Samsung has released a leak Android 4.2.2 jelly bean firmware for MEA region (Israel)
How To Change CSC for Samsung Galaxy Devices method will not work on 4.2.2 (waiting update) and I will show you how to change it.Before starting :
BACKUP your important data before changing CSC
Steps :
1. Download "Android Terminal Emulator" app (Link below)
2. Open the app and type
Su
then enterIt will ask for root permission
am start -a Android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.sec.Android.Preconfig/com.sec.Android.Preconfig.Preconfig
Then enterIt will open the "Preconfig"
4. Select sales code then Install
Done!
Notes :
~ WARNING : Changing CSC will factory reset your device (delete all data)
~ This method will work only on ROOTED devices

What is the CSC (Consumer Software Customization) code?
The CSC code contains information about software packages specific to a particular region, carrier branding and also APN settings for data connection.In this way, unless the PDA, PHONE and CSC codes do not match correctly, you will not be able to update your device over Samsung Kies or via OTA"
If the PDA, PHONE and CSC codes do not match correctly, Samsung Kies software will display this message in "Firmware information" section when you connect your Samsung device to PC
"Your devices current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via kies."
And normally If the PDA, PHONE and CSC codes match correctly, Samsung Kies software will display
"This is the latest firmware." or "New firmware is available."
Requirements :
1. Samsung galaxy device
2. "Android Terminal Emulator" App
Before Startting :
1. Backup your important data because changing CSC will delete all data on your device.
2. Root your Samsung galaxy
3. Download "Android Terminal Emulator" App (Link below)
Steps :
1. Open "Android Terminal Emulator" App and type
Su
Then enterIt will ask for root permission

Then enter (Text file link below)It will open the "Preconfig"
If it doesnt work, Try this

Instructions :
Backup your data first because changing CSC will wipe all your data
1 -Download "Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3 CSC" app (Link below)
2 -Open the app
If your device on "XXELLA" or later ,Select "Try with ROOT mode"
3 -Press "Change CSC"
4 -Select the CSC that you want ...
5 -Press "INSTALL"
-Your device will automatically reboot by itself
~ This app work only on official Samsung FW for the galaxy S/Note/Tab Phones/Tablets devices! Custom ROM not supported
~ You can change CSC if your current FW is Multi CSC packages
~ If your device has been updated to "XXELLA" or later
your device must be rooted first (void the warranty) for you become able to change the "CSC"
