How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Here is the first rooting method for the brand new Samsung galaxy Note 3.
After the Note3 became available in the markets, "Chenglu" xdas developer has made a custom recoveries based on CWM recovery for N900, N900S, N9005, N9006 and N900T which allows you to flash the root files and have root access on your device.

Before starting :

BACKUP all your important data just in case of this process corrupt your files
Download the correct recovery file for your device (Link below).
Download and install Samsung mobile driver (Link below).
Download "UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.XX.zip" file (Link below) and transfer it to the internal storage of your device.
Download Odin3 (Link below).
Close Kies and disable your antivirus software

Instructions :
Flashing Recovery
1- Run "Odin3" as administrator
2- Click on PDA button and browse to *.tar recovery file

3- Shut down your device and Put it into Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power) then Volume up to continue.

4- Connect the device to your computer by USB cable and wait until you get a sign in Odin (ID:COM section) and "Added" in message box.
5- Make sure re-partition is NOT SELECTED [Very important]

6- Click Start and wait a few seconds.

- Disconnect USB cable, unplug battery and put it again

Rooting process

1- Boot your device into Recovery Mode (Volume up + Home + Power) buttons.

2- Select "install zip" then Navigate to "UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.XX.zip" file which transfered to the internal storage
3- After it finish Select "Reboot system now"
You have root access NOW.
Done !

Notes :

This process will void the warranty of your device and set Current Binary to custom and Knox warranty void to 0x1.

How to Install CWM Recovery Root Samsung Galaxy S3 S4 Note 2

This is one of the well known Root method for ALL android devices
In this guide we will show you how to flash/install ClockWorkMod recovery to root ANY Samsung galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 (International, LTE, Cricket, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Metro, ... ) which are running on Android 4.0.4, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.2 and 4.3 jelly bean.
We will use CWM recovery to push root files to system, all what you need is to read this article carefully and follow all the steps.

Requirement :

ClockWorkMod recovery file
Odin3
Charged Samsung galaxy Device
Root files
USB cable
Windows PC

Before Starting :

Download and Install Samsung Kies or Smanung mobile USB driver (Skip it if you already have Kies on your PC).
Download and Extract the correct ClockWorkMod recovery file for the model of your device
Download and Extract Odin3
Download Root files
Disconnect all devices which are connected to USB Ports
Stop your antivirus and Kies software

Steps :

Send UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.XX.zip to any folder on the internal storage ex:Download
Run Odin3 as administrator
Click on PDA (or AP if you are using Odin3 v3.09) and navigate to the extracted recovery.tar file
Make sure that re-partition is not selected and reboot too
Put your device in download mode
Connect your device to PC via USB cable and wait until you see a sign in ID:COM and Added in Odin3
Click Start and wait few seconds
After Odin3 display PASS or RESET, unplug USB cable
Put your device in recovery mode
Choose install zip > choose zip from /sdcard > 0 / > the folder which contains root file (in my case : Download/) > UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.XX.zip > Yes.
Wait few seconds
Choose Go Back > reboot system now
Open SuperSU app and disable KNOX.

TowelRoot Samsung Galaxy S4 S5 and Note 3 on Android 4 4 2 NF or Later

TowelRoot is the best app to root more Samsung Galaxy devices whice are running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat but after upgrading to NF update TowelRoot will not root your phone anymore because Samsung has been patched the kernel in the latest update.
By using this guide I will help you to root the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note 3 on NF update or later on 4.4.2 KitKat.

Requirements :

Charged Samsung galaxy S4, galaxy S5, galaxy Note 3 running on NF update or later.
Kernel files
Odin3 (any version).
Installed Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile USB driver.
TowelRoot Apk by Geohot
Read notes before starting please.

Instructions :

This process WONT wipe your data, but backup your phone just in case this process corrupt your data.
Download then unzip your phone kernel files.
Flash Model_ROOT_Kernel.tar.md5 file using odin3 in PDA or AP section.
Make sure Re-Partition is NOT selected.
After your device boot up
Root your device using TowelRoot method by following this guide : [1-Click Root] Galaxy S4/S5/Note 3 Using TowelRoot Method
Make sure your phone is rooted ...
Flash back the specific kernel for your phone build number using Odin3 in PDA or AP section.

Congratulation, your phone is rooted on the latest update without tripping binary or KNOX counter.

This video was made for Galaxy S5 but its exactly the same steps for Galaxy S4 and Note 3

Notes:

Use this guide at your own risk.
Please make sure you download the specific kernel files for your phone model number.
If your device stuck in bootloop after flashing the ROOT kernel, wipe cache/dalvik from recovery mode will fix it.
This will not trip binary or KNOX counter, but it might change system status to custom.
To unroot your device --> Open SuperSU app / Settings / Full UnRoot then flash stock FW
The following models are the only supported devices till now.
After flashing ROOT kennel, you might face more force close (its normal), so that its better to disable S Health before flashing ROOT kernel (you can enable it after flashing your system kernel)
WiFi will not work also after flashing ROOT kernel, but you can fix it after rooting by flashing your system kernel.
For #SprintGalaxyS4 #L720, #TMobileGalaxyS4 #M919, #Verizon_Galaxy_S4_Mini #I435 use the following steps :
- Open #TowelRoot_v3 and tap 3 times on "welcome to towelroot v3" a new field will appear
- Change the value from : 1337 0 1 0 4 0
to : 1337 0 1 7380 4 0
- Now click "make it ra1n"?
